In partnership with Legal & General PLC and NatWest Pension Trustee Limited, with hugely ambitious (and very achievable) growth plans, we are seeking a Gardener on a full-time basis, to join our expanding team at Great Alne Park.
The role will suit a knowledgeable, confident, and personable gardener who can communicate well with others while helping maintain a large estate.
- Maintaining the grassed areas, flower beds, hedges, shrubs, borders
- Ensuring that the community is maintained
- Carrying out landscaping duties including drainage clearance, pathways and steps
- Clearing leaves around the community, both by machine and manually
- Producing minor repairs to external facilities
- Carrying out guttering and gully clearance
- Statutory testing
- Assisting residents with any gardening or horticulturally based queries.
- Previous experience working in grounds care and maintenance
- Strong general plant knowledge
- Competent working to Health and Safety and COSHH regulations would be ideal
- Any qualifications within the horticultural would be desirable, but not essential.
- This is a full-time opportunity where the Gardener will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday; 8am till 4pm.
- £20,000 per annum
- 28 days annual leave, increasing by 1 each year (up to 33)
