The Bear Pit Theatre is Stratford-upon-Avon’s first and only ‘little’ theatre in heart of Shakespeare’s historic Warwickshire town. Built in 1888, this Victorian building used to host badminton and other Congregational church activities. Today, the hall has been converted into a unique 100 seat theatre with all the technical equipment needed to run such a venue.

A great alternative to the RSC, offering a more intimate theatre-going experience, they stage a wide variety of shows, from uproarious comedies to challenging drama. It hosts visiting companies, too.

If you love the theatre, you’ll love it even more after an evening in their company.
