Inspired Friendships in Kent

Connecting Older People to Combat Isolation

Inspired Friendships is a service delivered by Later Living provider Inspired Villages.
We are a local friendship service dedicated to alleviating loneliness and isolation among older people.

By promoting active engagement in our community events, we create a sense of inclusion and well-being that helps older individuals lead healthier, more independent lives for longer.

Our positive impact is seen in the happiness and wellbeing of our members, who are more engaged and connected to their community.

Inspired Friendships work also has a wider impact, encouraging and providing volunteer opportunities that support the wellbeing of our members.

Our community works together to ensure everyone is supported, creating a sense of belonging and inclusion that benefits all involved.

Addressing Isolation

1.9 million older individuals in the UK feel isolated or ignored. Inspired Friendships seeks to alleviate this issue and enhance well-being through social engagement.

Events and Support

The initiative offers tailored events like coffee mornings, lunchtime meetups, bus trips, and park walks. Safety measures are in place, and alternative communication methods such as telephone befriending and pen pals are available during challenging times.
