Bridges Restaurant is an elegant dining establishment known for its exceptional cuisine, stunning ambience, and attentive service. Bridges offers a diverse menu that showcases a fusion of international flavours and locally sourced ingredients. From delectable appetisers to exquisite main courses and indulgent desserts, each dish is crafted with precision and creativity by our talented team of chefs. From the moment she could hold a wooden spoon, Lynn knew her heart belonged in the kitchen. Her childhood dream of becoming a chef led her to catering college, where she completed a year of training before earning an apprenticeship at the prestigious Michelin-starred Hartwell House in Oxfordshire. There, she honed her skills and passion, working her way up to Chef de Partie.

Eager to broaden her experience, Lynn joined the Holiday Inn Group as a Food and Beverage Manager, though her love for the kitchen kept calling her back to the stove. She later joined Whitbread, where she trained staff across the group, sharing her expertise and enthusiasm for great food.

After the birth of her daughter Emily, Lynn followed her passion for baking and established her own highly successful and renowned cake and pâtisserie business. Her exquisite creations soon became a highlight at events across Bedfordshire, celebrated for their artistry, elegance, and unforgettable flavours.

Seeking a new adventure, Lynn later moved to Portugal, where she and her family owned a small farm and opened a restaurant that truly embodied the farm-to-fork philosophy. Growing their own produce and serving it fresh to guests offered Lynn a new connection to the food she loves — from the soil to the plate.

Fortunately for us, Lynn has now returned home to the UK, bringing with her a wealth of experience, inspiration, and heart. She’s found her happy place here at Elderswell, where her passion for fresh ingredients, creative cooking, and heartfelt hospitality continues to shine every day.
