Hello, my name is Spencer Winter, and I proudly serve as the Head Chef at Ledian Gardens in Kent. With over 30 years of culinary experience, I embarked on my journey after graduating from West Kent Catering College in Tonbridge back in 1991. During the initial years of my career, I honed my skills in various restaurants until I stumbled upon the perfect job that allowed me to work Monday to Friday. This stability was particularly important to me as I had a young family with four wonderful children. For an impressive 14 years, I dedicated myself to this position.

However, an exciting opportunity arose at Willicombe Park in Tunbridge Wells, where I joined a company akin to Inspired. I spent 11 fulfilling years there, discovering a genuine passion for cooking for the older generation and forming cherished relationships with my clients.

While my culinary foundation lies in classical French cuisine, I pride myself on being adaptable and proficient in a wide range of culinary styles. I particularly enjoy organising themed events that incorporate beloved dishes from around the world. Cooking isn't just a profession for me; it's a passion that extends to my home life as well. All of my children have inherited my love for cooking and have become excellent cooks themselves.

I am committed to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. At Ledian, we are fortunate to have an abundance of fruit and vegetable produce grown less than a mile away in Leeds Village, allowing us to create flavorful and sustainable dishes.
