Arunlea
As you may know, in May 2021 Inspired Villages secured outline planning permission for a Retirement Community, creating 141 specialist properties for over 65s to help our residents live independently for longer.
INTRODUCING ARUNLEA RETIREMENT VILLAGE
The new integrated retirement community at Arunlea will include:

141 specialist homes for older people, including apartments and cottages

A range of health and wellbeing facilities open to both future residents and the wider community, including a restaurant, café, fitness suite and swimming pool

Net-zero carbon (regulated energy) sustainable development

Dedicated village transport service
-
Creation of approximately 30 Full-Time Equivalent jobs
Phase 1
A subsequent Reserved Matters planning application was submitted in August 2022, covering the detailed elements for the provision of Phase 1 including the Village Centre and 47 specialist homes for older people. This application was approved by Horsham District Council on Monday 20th November 2023.

Phases 2 & 3
Inspired Villages now intends to submit a Reserved Matters application in early 2024 for the remaining Phases 2 & 3, which will deliver the remaining 94 homes. As part of our consultation programme for Phases 2 & 3, we held a consultation event at The Bridge Leisure Centre in early December.
