A lifelong gardener and a well-known face of TV gardening, Toby’s gardening career started in his home county of Devon at a local rose nursery. Best known for presenting BBC Gardeners’ World - he is a regular on the program and the BBC's Chelsea Flower Show coverage. He has his own radio show on BBC sounds and writes regularly for the Sunday Times, Daily Telegraph, Amateur Gardening and has penned five gardening books, including Flowers: Planning & Planting for Year-Round Colour.

Toby will be giving a free gardening talk and demo at Gifford Lea and will discuss how to make the most of small garden space, giving tips for how to design and maintain a patio or balcony and create containers and hanging baskets. He’ll also talk about his illustrious gardening career and there’ll be Q&A to ask any gardening questions.
