Inspired Villages Group appoints David Montague as Chairman

Inspired Villages Group announced today it has appointed David Montague, CBE, as its new Chairman. 

 

A leading figure in the real estate market, David served as the Chief Executive of L&Q, one of Britain’s largest housing association developers, between 2008 and 2021. During his thirty-two-year tenure at L&Q, David oversaw the company’s evolution and growth mergers, acquisitions, major regeneration schemes and development partnerships.

David has been Chair of the G15 and served on the board of the National Housing Federation, as well as working with successive London Mayors. In 2013, David was awarded a CBE for services to housing in London.

 

As IVG’s new chairman, David will work alongside CEO Nick Edwards, who has been with the business since October 2024, as well as the Board and Executive Committee. Inspired Villages now operates eleven retirement communities, following the opening of Ampfield Meadows and Blendworth Hills in Hampshire earlier this year, with two further villages under construction in Sonning Common and near Tunbridge Wells, plus four more in the short-term pipeline.
