In December 2022 a planning application was submitted for and Integrated Retirement Community comprising up to 125 units of specialist accommodation for older people, unfortunately, the application was refused in March 2024 despite considerable need for this type of housing for older people within the area and following extensive engagement with local people and technical consultees.
