Our plans for Edenbridge

Thank you for visiting our website to find out more about exciting plans for our latest integrated retirement community in Edenbridge. Inspired Villages acquired the site, which forms part of the former Kent and Surrey Golf and Country Club, in June 2023, with a view to bringing forward plans to deliver Edenbridge’s first net zero carbon integrated retirement community.

The site has an existing outline planning consent for a retirement scheme to deliver 100 extra care units, plus a 30-bed hotel as part of a new golf clubhouse provision. Inspired Villages is seeking to progress a planning application for revised proposals later this year, following close consultation with the local community over the coming months.

The revised proposals will include a range of facilities the wider community can benefit from, including a restaurant and wellness suite and help to ensure the long-term viability of the site. Location

Located south of Crouch House Road, the proposed development location is suitably situated less than a mile north-west of Edenbridge town centre. The larger towns of Oxted, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and East Grinstead can be easily reached, and there are good road links into the rest of Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Two railway lines – Edenbridge Town station on the London to Uckfield line, and Edenbridge station (about 1 mile to the north of the town centre) on the Redhill to Tonbridge line – provide excellent rail routes, while local bus services link with several nearby villages and Tunbridge Wells.
