Inspired Villages ranked as 21st best large company to work for in the UK and best in the health and social care sector

Retirement communities operator Inspired Villages has been named the 21st best large company to work for in the UK for Q1 2022 by independent employee engagement specialist Best Companies. This marks a significant leap from its ranking as 66th in 2021.

Not only that, Inspired Villages has also been named the number one best company to work for in the health and social sector, and achieved the following high rankings in four regions:

• 3rd best company to work for in the East Midlands
• 8th best company to work for in the South West
• 20th best company to work for in the South East
• 30th best company to work for in the West Midlands

The rankings were unveiled as part of Best Companies Live on Friday 18th February. The live online event, hosted by TV presenter Dan Walker, also featured Inspired’s People & Culture Director, Lawrence Cramer, as a panellist on the ‘Managing the impact of fatigue’ session.

As part of that session Lawrence revealed how initiatives like ‘Time for Tea’, which encourages colleagues to chat with people from other departments, ‘giving back’ days, an online wellbeing hub, and wellbeing champions across the business, have all supported colleagues.

The rankings come at an exciting time for the company. Last summer, Legal & General and NatWest Group Pension Fund invested £500m into Inspired Villages as part of a joint venture partnership. The deal allows the company to expand its portfolio to up 34 villages, supporting over 8000 residents.

To help with this growth, the company has made a number of recent new senior appointments including former Legal & General Capital Chief Finance Officer Stephen Halliwell as Chief Finance Officer, experienced lawyer and law lecturer Louise Read as Legal Counsel, and tax specialist Tajinder Samra as Head of Tax.
