An Inspired village is a place where age matters less. A place where a good life, engaged and active, can be achieved. You want to keep your independence and at Inspired we are committed to helping and supporting you to do just that.

The village environment actively helps to encourage your wellbeing, through the social activities, clubhouse, wellness centre and the accessibility and ease of your home. However, in time, many of us will require additional personal care and support to help us maintain a good life. Great Alne Park aims to provide a ‘flexible care environment’ able to provide just the right amount of help and support that you need. Everyone is different and their preferences and needs are different too.

The level of care and support that can be provided is completely tailored to the individual. For the majority of people, no care is required at all and they are simply comforted by the knowledge that it’s available should they ever require it. For others support may be as little as a bit of help putting shopping away or help around the home.

These services are available to all residents and the cost is included in the service charge.

Wellness Navigator:

The ‘Wellbeing Navigator’ role is a key role in the management structure of the village. The Navigator role is very resident focussed and is the primary point of contact to assist in day to day issues around wellbeing. This could be as simple as help with filling a form or arranging a repair, to supporting a resident to engage with social activities or events. This is a connecting role helping residents who wish to make the most of village life. If in time greater levels of care and support are required, then the navigator can also assist to help put the right arrangements in place according to an individual residents wishes.

24-hour reassurance:

Each resident has an ‘alarm call’ device which they can use to summon assistance 24 hours a day. This is a service essentially for peace of mind. However in the event that you have to call a member of staff they will be able to offer comfort and reassurance. If an emergency service is required they can liaise to ensure prompt attendance and to ensure, in accordance with residents wishes, that friends and family are contacted.

These services are available to all residents and are charged separately.

Domestic Help:

This can include regular house cleaning, laundry, spring clean, shopping. In fact, as everyone is different we aim to offer as flexible and varied a menu as possible.

Personal Care:

In time someone’s needs may go beyond simple domestic support. Personal care in the form of assistance, for example, with bathing, dressing, medication and nutrition may be required. Residents are of course entirely free to purchase personal care services from the provider of their choice. However, at Great Alne Park we have the benefit of an on-site registered provider of home care, Alcester Homecare Agency.

Alcester Homecare Agency is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and if requested the Village Wellbeing Navigator will work closely with them to enable the right service for you.

An Inspired village is a place were age matters less and the aim is to enable residents to maximise their well-being despite the challenges that can come with age. Ageing in place up until the end of life is a key part of the Inspired vision. Indeed, the evidence is mounting that living in a village environment like an Inspired Village can significantly reduce the risk of needing to move to a care home. However, in some situations, it may be unsafe to remain. In such a situation we’d work with the individual and their family to find an appropriate solution.

Personalised Care Home Support Services at Inspired Retirement Villages

Each individual living in our villages can select their own personalised programme of care and support, which is then delivered by qualified professionals in the privacy and comfort of their own home.
